Quiltmakers Blog Tour

http://www.quiltmaker.com/100blocks
Even though I am frantically working to get ready for Quilt Market,  I thought I had better post something about Quiltmaker's "100 Blocks volume 2" "100 Blocks volume 2".  Many of you know about this great publication started last year, and many of you even had blocks featured.  Volume 2 will hit the newsstands around November 16th, 2010.  So be on the lookout!  I was fortunate enough to have a block featured in the book.  It will be exciting to see the finished product.

To compliment the arrival of the 100 Blocks book, Quiltmaker's is sponsoring their "100 Block Blog Tour" which runs from November 8th - 12th.  For more information, just click on the link above.

Quilt Market

I wanted to show a quick peak of some quilts I am working on for market. This one I designed from Isabella from Lila Tueller's new line with Riley Blake Designs. The fabric and colors are really beautiful.

Lila has such a great eye for color and detail. Her work is really beautiful. What makes her even better is that she is a really a fun person and I love working with her.

This fabric line is called Enchanted Garden and is designed by Samantha Walker who is another local artist.

Samantha is also really fun and I enjoy working with her too. I designed this quilt using a butterfly image which is similar to the main print. Chris did a fabulous job of making these quilts look beautiful. Her handwork is perfection. The colors in this collection are vibrant and fun and will make beautiful quilts and clothing.

This line of fabric is called Quite Contrary and is designed by My Mind's Eye for Riley Blake Designs. We love working with My Mind's Eye also. Their designs are always gre…

The Dog Kennel Quilt Group

I always love to see quilts made from Riley Blake Designs fabric. This was All Star and who ever did this quilt did a fabulous job with their colors. This was an outdoor quilt show by the Dog Kennel Quilt Group. I had some friends invite me so I ducked out for a quick look to see what they had. Next year I will make more time to stay for lunch and their trunk show.

The embroidery work on this quilt caught my eye. Look at those cute snowmen scenes. I think it is just adorable. The black and white stripe border with the red stop border highlights all the great handwork in the center of this quilt.

Look how cute and festive this quilt is. You could name all those stockings after your children and grandchildren. The stockings are raw edge sewn which creates a fun texture for this quilt.

This quilt is a panel in the middle with the cute blocks as a border and the colors just sing fall is in the air. Again there is a cute stripe border.

Another very simple block with great fall colors. I lov…
